As the weeks fly in we are now into the last week of August. Last week we had many visitors to the course and everyone was full of praise.
On Wednesday the ladies played a 9 hole “Circle” competition which runs each Wednesday for 4 weeks. The winner on the first week was Chris McIntyre who seems to be in a rich vein of form.
On Saturday the Ladies played their Daily Mail Foursomes qualifying competition. The winners were Gerry McKetchnie & Moira Jones who will now go forward to the knockout rounds.
On Sunday the gents played their Presidents Putter. The winner was the Treasurer who won with a 69 plus 23 putts to give him a grand total of 92.
The Week Ahead
Wednesday 31st August – Ladies 9 Hole Circle Competition. Draw for partners at 1pm.
Saturday 3rd September – Ladies May Burkinshaw Putter. Draw for partners 10am.
Sunday 4th September – There is no gents competition in the fixture list this week so it is proposed that we hold a 2 man Texas Scramble. If you are interested in playing I would be obiliged if you would let me know by return so that we could gauge interest in this suggestion.
