Alas doesn’t time fly? Sunday was Closing Day and it doesn’t seem that long ago we were trying to play our opening day competition. That said those attending enjoyed perfect weather, some excellent golf and a very enjoyable social event afterwards. Thanks go to Elena Rogers for organising the food and all the ladies for clearing up afterwards.

As for the golf, the standard was extremely high with the winners, Scott Jamieson, Larry Jones & Sandra Lancaster returning an amazing 59. The word is that Larry & Sandra held the team together playing some superb golf.

On Wednesday David Aitken & Alex Long played the final of the mens Coronation Cup. This was a keenly fought affair however David knew he was up against it when Alex started par, birdie then fired an eagle on the 3rd. However, David fought hard and made a game off it before succumbing to the power game of Alex.

Wednesday also saw the ladies complete their circle competition and the winner turned out to be Linda Brown who returned a fine 28.

We are currently finalising details of the club’s prize giving day which looks like it will take place on Saturday 12th November. Watch this space for details.
