First of all can I remind everyone that Jeff Sutcliffe has organised a Quiz Night for this Thursday, 23rd. Not only will there be a great quiz but there will aslo be nibbles and good company.  It would be good to see a good turnout to support Jeff’s initiative and perhaps make a little money for the club.

Things continue to move towards the new season this week with the clubhouse receiving new windows and surrounds and work towards renewing the steps to the first medal tee. Thanks go to our member Tony Moore for his hard work on these projects.

On Saturday the ladies held their “NOT THE CHRISTMAS LUNCH” which was preceded by a very wet nine hole competition. At this point I don’t know who won the competition but I do know that Sandra Lancaster was second. I think Sandra is just waiting for the new season to make her move to the front of the pack. It was great to see one of our new lady members, Christine Roberts and potential new member, our new next door neighbour, Jeannette Davidson joining the ladies for their lunch.

On Sunday the gents winter league was held in beautiful weather. It is good to see Jeff Sutcliffe continue his return to form and win with 32 points.
