With this weeks weather of heavy rain and strong winds it appears that Autumn is fast approaching. However our members continue to do well in competition. This week the ladies pairing of Kay Gillespie & Gerry MacKetchnie won the Ladies Open Foursomes at St Medans. Also our Lady Captain won the singles open at Wigtown & Bladenoch today. Well done ladies.

On Monday the first of the Gents Club Chamionship Semi Finals took place when Sandy Harvie beat Shane Thomson. Sandy now wait for the winner of the other semi final between current champion Alex Long and past winner Tony Graham.

On Wednesday the ladies played their nine hole circle competition which was won by Anne McQueen. Anne continued her great form at the weekend to win the Ladies August Medal with a fine 70. Her round included a fantastic 2 at the 18th.

On Sunday Alex Long warmed up for his Club Chamionship Semi Final by winning the Gents September Medal in high wind with a good score of 70.

Alas a quick reminder to all members that Sunday 25th September is Closing Day. The entry sheets for the 3 person Texas Scramble are in both the Ladies & Gents changing rooms however, if you would like to e-mail me I will add your name to the entry sheet.
