With the weather holding up we have been able to take advantage and some hard work has been done on the course. The greens have been verticut and the cutters lowered on the mower with the result that they are looking very good and playing even faster. Marena has been busy painting the distance markers and other areas with the result that everything is looking brilliant.

With the end of April members should be advised that preffered lies cease to be in operation when playing in competitions.

The draws for the gents Coronation Cup, Gerry Dickenson 4BBB, the mixed Johnstone Trophy and Laurieston Cup are now displayed at the clubhouse.

The ladies held their final Saturday competition which was a stableford, this was won by Marena with a good 36 points. The ladies competitions now move to Wednesdays.

On Sunday the Gents held the Milner Cup (Stableford). In tough condition the scoring was very poor and the Captain, david Aitken squeezed home with a moderate 35 points.
