Our first summer medal kicked off yesterday with a variety of wet weathers. Before tee off, we had some plain old rain. Then it held off for a bit to make it merely dank. It developed into a bit of smir. And then it rained again for a wee while. Thankfully we never got to stair-rods. And a complete absence of wind meant it was fairly pleasant out there. So ten of us made it round for a lovely 18 holes in the increasingly lush conditions.
Janette continued her good form with a stellar round. She achieved a well-deserved handicap reduction after carding a 65. Very well done with the ever-evolving conditions.
Anne and (my playing partner) Chris also managed impressive sub-par rounds. Anne just pipped Chris on countback. A highlight of Chris’ strong outward 9 was this approach shot to the 9th. A great birdie resulted.

A mention also to Jackie who carded the only 2 of the day on the 13th. Apparently it was a great tee shot and a putt so short “I would have walked off the course if I’d missed it!”
