A select group went out in the drizzle this morning for a cheeky wee 9 hole medal.
Conditions were slower than in previous weeks. But that wasn’t always a help. Even the spectating sheep wandered off in disgust as I effectively 5 putted the 3rd. Sigh.

In the other group, Anne was having a stellar day. Apparently her putter could do no wrong. On the 4th, she hit a glorious pitch down to within 4 feet of the pin. She managed to steady her knocking knees long enough to slot the putt in the hole for a glorious two. And the big bucks.

Kay and I enjoyed racing round trying to keep ahead of the midges. Not entirely successfully. And sporting some impressive headwear. Sadly I was was banned from taking photos of the hat.
A lovely day was had by all. Especially when we got back to the clubhouse for some of Erica’s delicious home-made custard creams…

Anne emerged victorious after 9 holes. And in such style that she earned a great handicap reduction too. Well done.
Coming up next week…the June medal. This will be a maximum score format again. So no pressure at all 🙂
