Fourteenth Seniors League

12 players turned up for the fourteenth league after a 3 weeks on cancelled competitions. The course was surprisingly playable after one of the worst periods of flooding. One player retired early on account of mistreating his golf trolley and it is embarrassing to report that his behaviour has been reported to the NSPGT, for those ignorant of this esteemed organisation “the National Society for the Protection of Golf Trolleys”. The remaining players reached the sixteenth hole before the rain started.
Ian McCulloch, a Plusnet fan, won the day with 31 points. Dave Aitken was threatened with a two shot handicap reduction but was relegated to third place for an incorrect points tally. Stuart Rhodes came second with 30 points followed by Chris McIntyre with 29 points and Ian Brown in fifth place with 28 points.
Quote of the week by Tony Lema “The record book has me down for a seventy-nine on the final day. That looks pretty woeful, but considering what happened the night before it was a pretty good round of golf”
