The final winter league took pace in cool cloudy conditions with an odd light shower. 19 players took part. The six contenders for the title went out last. First were Brian Duguid, Ian McCulloch and Ian McIlvenna lying on 174 and 173 points. Only Ian McCulloch managed to increase his tally by two points, not bad as his handicap had been cut by 4 shots. Brian returned a card with 25 points carrying a 6 shot reduction. The final three were Dave Aitken, Ian Brown and Erica Porteous with 183 points and 181 points. They returned scores 26, 24 & 25 respectively, a notable feat given their handicaps had been cut by 5, 6 & 4 shots through the season.
The League winner was Ian Brown with 183 points with Dave Aitken second also on 183 points, Ian won on the basis having the better recent (last) counting score of 35 points. It was lovely to see a lady in contention, in third place was Erica Porteous with 181 point total.
The final winter league was won by Moira Jones with 30 points. Ian McCulloch came second with 29 points with a better inward half from Stuart Rhodes.
The lunch took place and presentation of prizes took place in the clubhouse with soup and sandwiches provided by Jackie and thanks to all the ladies for organising the fare.
