Well the great weather has well and truly broken, however the good news is that the course is back to it's beautiful green best and during August both the ladies and Gents managed to complete most of their scheduled competitions. The ladies August medal was won by Gill Warnock with a fine net 71. The ladies Muirhead Rosebowl Open was played in wet conditions and was won by the ladies secretary, Kay Gillespie with a superb 37 points. June Monthly News

Well we all look for the sun and boy have we had it throughout June. The course is burning up and Brian & Ian are working very hard to ensure we stay playable. It has been a very busy month at the club with Captain's Day being the highlight. on the day the members were treated to a veritable feast of fun. May Monthly News

With this amazing weather and a lot of hard work the course and surrounding areas are in amazing condition. Thanks go to everyone who are working so hard to present the club in it's best condition. The junior coaching is going full steam ahead on Saturdays with upwards of twenty juniors turning up for the weekly coaching. The ladies competitions now being played on Wednesdays are in full swing. Monthly News

Following opening day the club activities are going ahead at full speed. Our junior coaches are now active in both the local schools and on the course on Saturdays. The coaching is now aided by the purchase of 5 new sets of junior clubs which were funded by a generous grant from the Charity Shop in Dalry, The club is extremely grateful for this help with our junior programme. Last weekend with the weather still very cold but dry, 30 hardy members turned out to play on opening day. the competition was very fierce between the Captain's & Vice Captain's teams however with only one of the Vice Captains team providing him with a winning score the Captain's team galloped to victory. Following the match some superb soup &¬† sandwiches where provided in the clubhouse where everyone enjoyed a social occassion. Thanks go to everyone who provided food and made the day such a success. Who'd have thought the end of February would come along so quickly!! The course has stood up well to all the rain during the winter and hopefully the weather will improve now. Weekly News – Monday 9th October 2017

On Sunday we played the rescheduled closing day competition for the Knocknalling Cup. The weather was beautiful for the time of year with no wind and the golf was of a very high standard. In second place was Sandy Harvie, John Crallan & one of our up and coming juniors, Fiona McQueen who was playing in her first club competition. Weekly News – Monday 14th August 2017

What a busy week at the club with plenty of members working hard on and around the course and the results are there for all to see. On Saturday the ladies help their singles open. With a big entry our own members where the compeditors who came to the fore. In the bronze division the winner was one of our new members, Jannetts Davidson with 31 points. Weekly News – Monday 7th August 2017

This week the ladies played their August medal and the scoring proved to be exceptional. Two ladies returned scores under 70, Erica Porteous shot net 69 but the winner was new member Gill Warnock who scored a brilliant net 66. Alas the gents were not so lucky, playing for the MacMillan Scratch trophy those out in the morning returned some super scores the best from Dick Tulloch who shot a great 70 scratch. However, due to the greens flooding from heavy rain in the afternoon, the competition was abandoned. The gents will now replay this competition on Sunday 20th August…

Weekly News – Monday 31st July 2017

On Saturday the course was buzzing with the sound of junior golfers receiving expert tuition from Ross Murdoch one of the professionals from Dumfries and Galloway who, courtesy of the Kirkcubright Golfers Association will deliver coaching for the next three Saturdays. Wednesday was the second round of the ladies Harebell Trophy. This was keenly fought over the two rounds. On Wednesday the winner was Elena Rogers with 36 points and a grand total for the two rounds of 68.
